Hello PlanGuru Users! We are pleased to announce that we have just released our second update to V5. A list of enhancements, fixes, and new features can be found below:
Quickbooks Online Import: The moment many of our users have been waiting for has finally arrived. As a result of this update PlanGuru is now able to import directly from Quickbooks Online. This will make the import process much easier, as users no longer have to pull the chart of accounts in to an Excel file and import from there. This integration has been a goal for us for a long time now and we are very pleased that it is finally complete.
Account Mapping Overhaul: We now give you the ability to show the account mapping screen differently in the import process. In older versions when you ran the import, your accounts to bring in were always shown on the left hand side, and would be checked if they were mapped. Now once an account has been mapped, it disappears from the list of accounts, making the view less cluttered and easier to interpret. You also now unmap an account simply by clicking an “Unmap” button next to where it is mapped in the right hand window. Note that if you prefer the way it used to look, you have the option to keep using that.
Accounts Receivable/Payable Improvement: The average days to collect/pay projection methods had been a bit limited because you could only set one number to apply for all periods of your projection. Now users can set a customized number of days to collect/pay for every single projected period. This gives users much more flexibility to deal with more complicated schedules.
Fix to VAT Calculation: Some users who used the “Cash” computation for VAT noted that some of their VAT liabilities were not calculating correctly. We found out what was causing the issue and have corrected the problem for this update. Note that this issue only affected those who used the “Cash” computation method for VAT, accrual was unaffected.
Terminology Changes: There were some inconsistencies in the terminology we used in the program. This could be confusing to users and as a result we have made some corrections. Note that we will also be changing some terminology in PlanGuru Analytics to bring it in line with that of the core program (ex. Other Metrics will be known as Non-Financial Data).
