Hello PlanGuru users. We are pleased to announce our most recent maintenance update. A full list of improvements and bug fixes can be found below:
Notes Payable – Budget pushed to historicals, Current Portion of Long Term Debet are off: We noted that on few occasions, when an analysis containing a note payable was rolled forward, the current portion value changed, throwing the analysis out of balance. This issue has been fixed, and current portions should roll forward properly now.
Group Cash flow detail by subclass – Adjustment to Retained Earnings Issue: A handful of users reported that there was some irregular behavior with the “Adjustment to Retained Earnings” line. For historical periods, they noted that they had an adjustment for the amount of “Net Income (Loss) from Operations”. We have corrected this as of this update and it should no longer be an issue.
Behavior of “Allocate annual amount” option under Manual Entry: We noted some odd behavior having to do with “Allocate annual amount” option under the Manual Entry projection method. On some occasions the number to allocate would change, or the monthly amounts would keep growing exponentially. This has been addressed in this update and those options should now behave as designed.
Getting Started Video, Learning Resources, and Support Desk Help Links broken on start menu: Some of our users who were running Windows 8 noted that the links mentioned above did not work on the initial start menu of the program. This will only have affected users, who are running Windows 8, but it has been corrected and the links should work now.
Conversion of months to quarters when using actuals: A user noted that when they changed their analysis from 12 months to 4 quarters, their actual results were not getting recalculated properly. We have corrected that issue and you are now able to switch from months to quarters without the data getting thrown off.
Unable to open a file that was just exited in Network Edition: Some of our network users noted that if they exited a file, but then needed to go back in to it, they would not be able to load it again without having to totally close down PlanGuru first. Obviously that is an inconvenience and we have changed that behavior to allow them to re-enter the file.
Unhandled Exception in the Non-Financial section: One user reported that they encountered an error in the non-financial section. This error occurred when they were trying to build a formula, and prevented them from using that category. This error was only encountered by one user and only in one category so it appears to be a rare, however we have fixed it so this issue should no longer appear.
Various Wording Changes: We have changed the wording of some screens and menus, such as the “Calc Assumptions” section. This will give users a clearer idea of what to do in those menus and should lead to less confusion.
