Hello Planguru users. We are pleased to announce the release of our latest maintenance update. A complete list of fixes and improvements can be found below:
Program Not Calculating Historical Ratios: Some users noted that in version 188.8.131.52 the program did not calculate any ratios for historical periods. This bug only affected users on version 184.108.40.206 but has been fixed as of this update.
Windows Region and Language setting, decimal separator Issue: Users based in countries that use a “,” as a decimal separator noticed some issues with the calculation for formulas in the non-financial data section. They noted that for periods budgeted as a full year, the formula would not calculate a value. This has been fixed.
Non-Financial Section, behavior with growth rate total displayed as an average: Users noted that when they are trying to use a growth rate in the non-financial section selecting the total to display as an average could potentially result in an unhandled exception, and the program would limit their choice of growth rate options. The unhandled exceptions will no longer appear and you have more options using the growth rate with an average total as of this update.
Ratios Tab Unhandled Exception: Users dealing with particularly large figures may have noticed that they would receive an error message when trying to view the ratios tab. This had to do with the size of the figures involved, however this issue has now been fixed.
Creating a New Analysis, Calendar for adding actuals to quarterly periods was wrong: A small fix made to the analysis set-up portion of the program. When select which quarters to use actuals through, the program incorrectly used January, April, July, October as the options. It now correctly uses March, June, September, and December.
Unhandled Exception when clicking in the scrollbar: A few users would not that they would receive an unhandled exception in the program when clicking inside the right-hand side, or bottom scrollbar. This would cause an error message to display. It did not cause anything to go wrong within the analysis but was an irritant. That issue has been fixed and the error message should now longer appear.
Quickbooks Import Limit Increased: To accommodate for users that had larger charts of accounts, we have increased the number of categories that can be imported in to Planguru from Quickbooks. Past versions had a hard limit of 2500 categories, but this has been increased as of this update.
Increased Decimal Storage in Access File: This improvement had to do with some issues regarding the advanced reporting add-in. Some users had difficulty connecting their analyses to an Excel file using the add-in. This problem had to do with the program creating more decimals than the Microsoft access file could store. Users who had this issue will now be able to connect their analyses to an Excel file without issue.
Growth Rate – Adjust by period issue when selecting month 12: There was an issue when using the growth rate projection method if you were adjusting by period. When a user would select the last period of a fiscal year to begin growth, the amount created ended up being a function of the yearly total rather than the monthly data. This issue has been resolved as of this update.
