PlanGuru Customers, here is a list of fixes and improvements that have been released as part of the 126.96.36.199 Update for PlanGuru 2013.
Non-Financial Data, Link to Excel Method > Link to Decimals - In many cases users wanted to use the Link to Excel method within the Non-Financials to link to an Excel row that contained decimal places. While users could link to that Excel row, the decimal places were lost, and the value displayed in PlanGuru was rounded up/(down) to the nearest whole number. An improvement has been made to accommodate linking to decimal places within the Non-Financials when using the Link to Excel method.
Function of a Non-Financial Method - An improvement has been added that will help users who have many Non-Financial categories. Previously Non-Financial groupings weren't displayed within the selection area of the "Function of a Non-Financial Item" forecast method. These groupings have now been added to make it easier to find the non-financial amount used in the forecast calculation.
Current Portion of LTD > Cash Flow Treatment - When users manually added categories assigned to the "Current Portion of Long Term Debt" subclass the default cash flow treatment was incorrectly set to ' Operating', the default value has been updated to 'Financing'.
Indirect Cash Flow Statement > Historical Periods - A number of users had noted that the indirect cash flow statement for historical periods wasn't calc-ing depreciation expense and Net income properly. The problem only affected the Indirect method, users who chose the direct method were unaffiliated by this issue. This issue has been fixed.
Indirect Cash Flow statement > Treatment of Net Income - Some users were noting that the Provision for taxes was being added instead of subtracted to arrive at "Net Income" per the cash flow statement. This issue has been corrected.
Analysis Setup > Cash Flow Method - Some users pointed out that the default cash flow template was being set to Indirect even though the "Direct" method was selected during analysis setup. The issue got resolved after users changed the cash flow method, or saved, closed and re-opened the analysis. This issue has been fixed so that the cash flow template loaded upon analysis creation is consistent with the value selected during the setup process.
Support Scheduled, Adjust prior Period amount - In some cases categories within supporting schedules using the "Adjust Prior Period Amount method > Adjust prior year amount by annual % and allocate using seasonality factors" weren't forecasting correctly. More specifically the adjustment percentages weren't being applied and the forecasted amount was staying flat. This issue has been fixed.
Assets Class > Cannot change "Asset" subclass - A number of users were noting that they couldn't update the subclass on "Asset" accounts after they had already been setup. This was creating problems, because many times during the import process accumulated depreciation accounts weren't appropriately assigned. Then when users when to change the subclass to "Accumulated Depreciation" PlanGuru would not allow them to make this change. The application has been updated to allow users to change the subclass treatment of categories marked with the "Asset" subclass to "Accumulated depreciation".
Non Financial Reports > Select Periods from years 1 and 2 - Customers were limited to printing 10 periods on the Non-Financial report when the "Select Periods from years 1 and 2" format was selected. This has been changed so that users can select up to 12 periods on this report.
Note Payable Wizard > Region and Language Settings - Users who had a Windows Region and Language digit grouping symbol of " " (as opposed to "," or ".") were having problems with the note payable wizard. This particular digit grouping symbol was causing the note payable wizard to recognize the starting balance of the note as 0, and consequently was causing issues within the cash balance and the cash flow statement. The issue has been fixed so that the " " digit grouping symbol can now be used.
Cash Flow Activities - The default cash flow treatment of categories marked with the "depreciation, depletion, amortization" subclass were incorrectly assigned to the "operating" cash flow treatment. The default value has been set to "Non-Cash". Note this issue was only occurring when categories were imported using one of our import utilities.
Supporting Schedules > Add Change category tool form - "Function of Non-Financial" & "Formula" Methods were displaying on top of each other within the Add/Change category tool within Supporting Schedules. The form has been fixed.
Break Even Report - Subtotal rows within the break even report were causing a double-counting effect for total Revenue. This has been fixed by removing subtotals from this report.
