PlanGuru Customers, here is a list of fixes and improvements that have been released as part of the 220.127.116.11 Update for PlanGuru 2012.
Depreciation Expense Subclass - Fix. In rare circumstances categories marked with the depreciation expense subclass were displaying a different subclass value when viewed from the Add/Change category tool.
"PlanGuru Has Stopped Working Message" - Fix. A bug was fixed that caused issues when updating balance sheet categories. When the user initiated the change by clicking on the cell corresponding to the First month of the fiscal year cell in PlanGuru and entering a change into the first month "Period Change Field" entries in that month.
Out of Memory Error - Improvement. Error messaging has been improved when users have exceeded their allotted memory because they're running too many windows applications causing PlanGuru to throw this error message.
Advanced Reporting Add-In v2, Subtotal Rows- Fix. Inconsistent naming of subtotals was causing issues with the reports built using the advance reporting add-in. More specifically retrieval values for subtotals weren't consistently being returned because the name of the category in PlanGuru varied based on whether the subtotal grouping was expanded or collapsed when the report was saved. This has been fixed by consistently adding the "Total" prefix to subtotal rows.
Advanced Reporting Add-In v2, Duplicate Descrs - Fix. Duplicate category descriptions were created by cash flow category rows. This resulting in some income statement categories to retrieve incorrect results in the ARA. Category values were getting returned, but they were being netted against the duplicate cash flow record, making the category appear with an incorrect or zero balance.
Formatting of Non Financial Groupings - Fix. Categories included in non-financial groupings were getting inconsistently formatted when the category was changed after being added to the grouping. This was causing these category descriptions to no longer be indented by one space.
Import Process, Assign Accounts dialog - Improvement. Users were able to add the same account into two categories by mapping it twice in the assign accounts dialog of the import process.
Crystal Reports Error - Improvement. Users can no longer inadvertently close out of the application, losing unsaved work, when they press quit, after receiving a crystal reports error. This error was occurring because the crystal reports driver needed to be installed.
Assumptions Report - Fix. The column header for the 3rd projected year on the assumptions report was getting incorrectly labeled. This has been fixed.
Analysis Roll Forward, Note Payable Wizard - Fix. Zero balance notes weren't being accepted when an analysis was rolled forward to the next fiscal year. This caused the user to have to delete the note and re-add it.
Import Process - Improvement. When customers deleted classes from the PlanGuru class structure, then imported into these classes it appear that their balance sheet or P&L were incorrect. Instead categories imported into hidden classes weren't viewable. Now if a customer imports into a hidden class the class reappears.
Print to Excel Error - Fix. When using PlanGuru's delivered Excel reports, customers mapping their data files to a network location received an error stating the PlanGuru couldn't open the file. Instead the user would have to navigate to the report in Windows Explorer and open the file from there. This has been fixed.
Circular References - Improvement. A number of changes have been made with regard to preventing "malicious" circular references, but allowing customers to make certain necessary calculations. Log a support inquiry for more details.
Cash Flow Descriptions - Improvement. Customers can now edit any categories cash flow description from the "Other" tab in the Add/Change category tool.
Formula Forecasting Method Dialog sizing issues - Fix. Customers using Windows DPI setting of 125 (Medium font size) can no enter formulas when using the formula forecasting method. Previously the placement of the form buttons was becoming un-viewable with this larger Windows DPI setting.
